Poem of the Week: Hard Pull, Danny Earl Simmons

When it comes to turkey,
I’m more cold than wild –

too much
abandonment in abandon,
too much
left wanting when wanton.

And, I think it’s funny
that when no-rules rules
it can lock you down tight.

Who am I trying to kid?
Pass the bottle.
