Knowledge, or Original Sin; Rose Mary Boehm

Drop by drop it was administered.
And there was cynicism.
Well, that’s what there is.
The human condition.
In a nutshell.
Be real.

Unwinding the clock,
I try and retrace with spidery fingers
the damage done. Knowledge slips
into an ice-cream cone.

Dorothy fell in love with the witch.
The cowardly lion roared.
The scare crow was burning,
the fire set by the heartless
tin man.
There is no place like home.
